The Colour of Every Day Life, an Arts Series with Kathleen Downie
Wednesdays, February 7th - March 13th 2024 from 1:30 P.M - 3:00 P.M at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto Head Office located at 20 Eglinton Ave W, 16th floor (6 week Series).
February 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, March 6th & 13th 2024
In this workshop, participants will explore the art of everyday life, and it's many seemingly mundane details! Through the eyes and artworks of Grayson Perry and Kaffe Fasset we will create our own spectacular artworks using drawing, painting, collage and photography. To celebrate our work at the end of this 6-session series, we will also create a collaborative artwork facilitated by Kathleen Downie. Cannot wait to see you all!
This series is appropriate for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairments and their carepartners, no background in art making required, all are welcome.
The program image is by Grayson Perry from Smashing Hits exhibit Edinburgh and photographed by Kathleen Downie.
