Alzheimer’s disease remains a major health problem affecting over 47 million individuals worldwide.  Our scientific understanding of this disease has increased dramatically over the past decade.  During this talk, you will learn about important new opportunities to intervene earlier in the disease process, about how risk for Alzheimer’s disease can be assessed and how each of us can play a role in improving brain health and hastening the development of new treatments.  Also, learn more about DNA testing with a simple cheek swab.

Dr. Sharon Cohen is a Canadian-trained behavioural neurologist. She is the medical director and site principal investigator at Toronto Memory Program.  For the past 25 years, Dr. Cohen has been committed to improving treatment for Alzheimer’s and related disorders. Her memory clinic and research site are among the most active in Canada and have provided care and clinical trial opportunities to thousands of individuals.
