January 25 (2:00 – 3:00) – Guided Tour at the Canadian Textile Museum Join a 4-week hands-on weaving program including a tour at the Textile Museum! We will learn basic weaving techniques and together create a simple hand-woven tapestry. We will also explore our personal relationship and family heritage to textiles – sewing, knitting, crochet and woven tapestries, to share our stories, and what these objects mean to us. We will delve into the history of textiles by looking at the cultural significance of textiles from around the world. The final session will be held at the Textile Museum of Canada. This series is appropriate for learners at all levels and provides opportunities for each participant to learn at their own pace and in their own style. Face masks will be provided and encouraged to be worn throughout the duration of the program. For more information about this program, please contact Kristin Bartlett at kbartlett@alz.to
