Summary: Presented by Dr. Eugenie Roudaia, this webinar will explore how vision and visual perception changes with aging and in the presence of mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Roudaia will discuss how we can use vision-based tasks and the brain's electrical signals to detect Alzheimer's disease earlier, and predict future cognitive health for individuals experiencing cognitive decline. About the presenter:
Eugenie Roudaia, PhD Dr. Eugenie Roudaia is a Scientific Associate at Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest Academy for Research and Education, where she co-leads the VisAge laboratory with Dr. Allison Sekuler. She earned her PhD from McMaster University in Psychology. The aims of her research are to better understand how vision changes in healthy and abnormal aging, finding new ways to monitor brain health with age, and identifying how we can improve mental and perceptual abilities in older adults.
