What does the future hold for Alzheimer's prevention and treatment?
Lately, there has been a lot of media attention around Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and it is great that these stories are making the headlines. Many are addressing the topic of prevention and treatment options. The recent wave of news regarding clinical trials in the area of dementia research has also created a flurry of discussion.
Please join us on May 22nd to hear from Dr. Sharon Cohen, a neurologist in the field of Alzheimer’s clinical research to learn about risk factors, prevention and treatment. After the lecture, you are welcome to participate in an on-site “cheek swab” to assess your risk for Alzheimer's disease.

Street Parking is available in the area around Women's College Hospital on Grosvenor Street and underground parking is available at the hospital (enter on Grenville Street). Both require payment. Subway Access is via Queen's Park on the University Line or College Park on the Yonge Line.

Dr. Sharon Cohen is a Canadian-trained behavioural neurologist. She is the medical director and site principal investigator at Toronto Memory Program. She is known for her excellence in patient care, teaching and clinical research. She holds an FRCPC in neurology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. For the past 25 years, Dr. Cohen has been committed to improving treatment for Alzheimer’s and related disorders. Her memory clinic and research site are among the most active in Canada and have provided care and clinical trial opportunities to thousands of individuals.
