Navigating Down Syndrome and Dementia: A Starting Point for Families - In Person
This online workshop is for family and friends who are supporting someone living with Down Syndrome and Dementia (formal dementia diagnosis not required).
It explores topics such as:
An overview of Down Syndrome and dementia
Warning signs of dementia and how someone living with Down Syndrome can get diagnosed
The emotional impact of a changing relationship with the person after dementia diagnosis
Behavioural strategies to address dementia-related behaviours
Advance care planning
Overview of Alzheimer Society Toronto's programs and services
