Webinar: Advances in Dementia Research Innovative Research Projects on Driving in People Living with Dementia
Summary Presented by Drs. Gary Naglie, Mark Rapoport and Sayeh Bayat, this webinar will provide an overview of the challenges that driving cessation poses for people living with dementia and their family/friend carers, as well as new resources and technology (e.g., self-driving cars) being developed to support them. The speakers will introduce three current research studies that investigate driving and dementia. The second study aims to investigate the usefulness of technology in the cars of people living with dementia, to monitor driving safety. The third study is exploring the uptake and impact of an online toolkit called the Driving and Dementia Roadmap. These resources are designed for people living with dementia, their family/friend carers, and healthcare providers. variant frontotemporal dementia. You will have the opportunity to ask questions.
