CARERS Program for Spouse/Partner (8 sessions) - In Person

This 8-week online program is for spouse/partner of people with mid- to late-stage dementia. Developed by the Reitman Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital, CARERS is a comprehensive dementia care program that supports problem-solving skill development and introduces the innovative use of standardized patients – actors trained to simulate real-life situations – so that caregivers, guided by expert clinical coaches, will learn how to address communication challenges. Dates: Tuesdays, October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15 and 22 Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Location: 20 Eglinton Ave West, 16th Floor, Toronto (northwest corner of Yonge and Eglinton, accross the street from Yonge and Eglinton subway station, our office tower is to the left of Metro Grocery)
This is an in-person support group.
For the safety of participants and our staff everyone will be required to follow our COVID safety measures Registration and an assessment appointment via Zoom are prerequisites.
